by

Chevrolet has released their new Camaro, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. This new Camaro is the sixth generation and this was released few months ago in the middle of May at Belle Isle track. Just like the other cars, this new 2016 Camaro must pass the test of 0-60 Camaro. New 2016 Camaro itself comes in four different models including Camaro SS with manual transmission, Camaro SS with automatic transmission, Camaro RS, and Camaro LT. All of those 2016 Chevrolet Camaro have been tested.

Every model of 2016 Chevrolet Camaro has different engine that causes different performance. So when each of 2016 Chevrolet Camaro cars were being tested, the result was different. For example, the time that was taken by 2016 Camaro SS with automatic transmission to reach 60 miles per hour is 4.0 seconds, while the time that was taken by 2016 Camaro SS with manual transmission to reach 60 miles per hour is 4.1 seconds. These results are faster than the time that was taken by the previous generation of Chevrolet Camaro.

The older generation of Chevrolet Camaro that was released in 2014, 2015 Camaro SS ILE Package was able to reach the speed of 60 miles per hour in 4.3 seconds. By this fact, we can see that the new generation of Chevrolet Camaro SS, either the one with automatic transmission or the one with manual transmission has better performance and higher speed than the older generation. But, Chevrolet still has two other models of 2016 Camaro, the RS and LT. Read the results of their 0-60 test below.

After doing a 0-60 test to the new 2016 Camaro RS by Chevrolet, they shared the result of this car’s test. The fastest time for 2016 Camaro RS to reach the speed of 60 miles per hour is 5.1 seconds. Even though this RS version of 2016 Camaro is slower than the SS, this version is not the slowest one since its brother, 2016 Camaro LT needs 5.4 seconds to reach 60 miles per hour speed.

Chevrolet has manufactured plenty Camaros. The very first generation of Camaro was launched in 1967. That very first Camaro SS also took the 0-60 test. The result for that Camaro SS to reach the speed of 60 miles per hour was 7.9 seconds. But now, the result of test 0-60 Camaro is much faster than the result of Camaro’s first generation. This means Chevrolet worked very hard to enhance the performance of their Camaro.
